A Quick Visit in Leyte

Image
A short notice trip sometimes worth the memories. Its my first time to visit the neighbor region which is Eastern Visayas. Its just a sidetrip before heading to Baguio City since Tacloban to Clark flight has cheapest rates that time. Cebu to Ormoc is the convenient way of visiting the Eastern Visayas/Leyte since the boat trip has schedule everyday. Ranges 500-700 pesos for oneway fare and its only less than 2hours of travel. I maybe alone but I have friends who live in Ormoc and Tacloban so good thing I was able to meet them and be guided from them for any directions. Visiting this land is just so short so I will surely comeback to explore more the of this region/province. As the famous words "I shall return" by Douglas McArthur, I will surely do.

Siquijor Tour - A 5 Hour Explore

Image
Facts Apart of being an Island, it is a 5th provincial income class island province of the Philippines located in the Central Visayas region. Its capital is the municipality also named Siquijor. To the north of Siquijor is Cebu, to the west is Negros, northeast is Bohol, and to the south, across the Bohol Sea, is Mindanao. The island has total area of 337.49 km2 (130.31 sq mi) so its not possible to roam around the island in just a day or two. Streets and main road are well constructed so its easy for you to drive and follow directions.  You might heard about what the Siquijor can offer and even me got scared to travel alone because of it. The story about black magic and witches are one of the common story about the province. Well, maybe before but now its a modern period so I guess we can leave that as theory or history. My Story I was only having my staycation in Dumaguete City and since I stayed just near at the Port, I decided to have a sidetrip. The port in has many options to

Forest Camp : Valencia, Negros Orriental

Image
The Forest Camp is located 11.5 Kilometers (6 Miles) of paved road west of Dumaguete City. 20 minutes is all it takes to reach paradise; away from the noise and pollution of city life. The resort is 2.5 Hectares of nature at its best, a valley under a canopy of tropical, indigenous forest trees. It has a river passing through its landscape with cascading sound blending perfectly with the welcoming songs of birds and applause of leaves. Enhancing the scenery is its constantly cool ambiance being 800 feet above sea level. Indeed it is one of the main attractions of Valencia, Negros Oriental. Sticking to its natural beauty concept, it has 9 cold spring swimming pools designed to appear like natural lagoons formed by the river. Inside is a 90 meter zip line that crosses the river and over the swimming pools, parallel to a hanging bridge. It is the safest and shortest zip line in the world! Road to Bacolod City

Image
Do everything with passion.  It's  my first time to visit Negros Occidental specifically in Bacolod City. I was so excited when my friend invited me or included me  with  the plan of going to the city. This has been planned for a month and thank god I finally made it. Bacolod City has been called as "City of Smile" and I  wonder  when or how was it happen. Here's a quick facts from history of Bacolod City: Bacolod City , is a  highly urbanized city  in the  Philippines . [5]  It is the capital of the  province  of  Negros Occidental  where it is geographically situated but governed administratively independent from it. It is notable for its  MassKara Festival  held during the third week of October and is known for being a relatively friendly city, as it bears the nickname "The City of Smiles".   credits to https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bacolod The Capitol of Negros Occidental City Hall of Bacolod San Sebastian Church Inside t

My Campuestohan Highland Resort Experience

Image
Situated right in the boundaries of two of the most progressive cities in the province – Bacolod City and Talisay City, Campuestohan is a 5-hectare property that radiates the splendor of the lush green forests of Mt. Makawili. From this vantage point, one can see the breathtaking view of almost half of the entire province of Negros Occidental, and even that of Panay Island. Most of the time, the weather in the resort is downright cool while one can see the seemingly merciless heat in the plains below. From that grassy area situated about 800-meters above sea level, the 5-hectare property of Mr. and Mrs. Tan has undergone an enormous transformation and is now one of the most famous tourist destinations in Negros Occidental. Take a dip in the swimming pool, walk through the gardens, have fun in the playground and simply relax and unwind. In time, go horseback riding and bring out an adventurous spirit by riding on a 340-meter zipline. Everything that one can ask for is found
